The Sr. Digital Asset Management Specialist will help shape the strategy and play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining Culture Trip's Digital Asset Management platform. This is a critical and exciting role that is focused on execution yet strategically involved in the direction of development for Culture Trip’s content management strategy by supporting and aligning the enterprise taxonomy and metadata structures to meet the organization’s future goals.

The role will span across two major phases: the initial implementation of a DAM and the integration with the BPM tools for business process and workflow automation as well as the CMS, CDN and other systems, and then the ongoing management and improvement of the DAM platform and the corresponding supporting processes.

The Sr. Digital Asset Management Specialist will be responsible for bringing order to creative content chaos, using enterprise-level DAM, BPM and Workflow Management tools as well as solid digital media library management practices, designed against efficient operational workflows.

The  Sr. Digital Asset Management Specialist should strive to make content readily available to all major stakeholders in a timely fashion. The role is a blend of skills sourced from technology, workflow efficiency, media production, and archival/librarian work. Capable candidates will develop and maintain the best processes and practices for all levels of digital asset engagement across the entire Culture Trip organization.

Key Responsibilities

Business change and user management


    • Need to facilitate culture change - will need to enforce new standards and hold them
    • Facilitate support of internal and external content contributors, across the creative teams, editorial, branding, marketing, SEO, engineering and commercial 
    • Work with photographers, videographers, illustrators, animators
    • Must be confident in requiring these contributors to follow consistent file naming convention, metadata fields, and keyword vocabulary
    • Develop and execute role-specific user training programs pertinent to all asset management systems
    • Understand the sensitivity of assets and the different permission groups and levels within the system
    • Ability to build trust with stakeholders
    • Flexible thinking and ability to innovate and solve problems creatively.

Digital Assets and Workflow Management


    • Accountable for the enterprise taxonomy model including the metadata structure contained within the complex libraries and mandated hierarchy
    • Define and oversee digital taxonomy, the tagging implications, and associated governance actions
    • Responsible for the timely response, solution, and maintenance of the metadata field adjustments and alignment with the global business need
    • Direct asset library management in the DAM
    • Create, maintain and streamline workflows for the use of assets in all relevant systems
    • Identify unique ways to organize and manage the entire digital asset life cycle as part of the asset creation workflow
    • Develop and document protocols for downloading, renaming, backing up, rating, grouping, archiving, optimizing, maintaining and exporting digital assets
    • Auditing, monitoring, and reporting on asset rights/usage/restrictions and compliance
    • Live creative and photo/video production operational support in digital asset creation workflows. Ideally to have experience with processing raw imagery and video footage using the  Adobe Creative Suite software for post-production editing
    • Reporting on the progress/status of the asset management efforts, including but not limited to –  asset life cycle, measured output, and growth projections
    • Maintain industry knowledge on current solutions available, asset management trends, and general media production trends
    • Collaborate with the production support team to identify any system-based issues.

Skills and Qualifications Required:


    • 4+ years of experience working in digital asset management (DAM)
    • 2+ years of experience working in a digital marketing environment
    • 2+ years of experience in a production environment
    • 3+ years of experience in training, coaching, change management and process improvement activities at a business unit or enterprise level
    • 1+ years of experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

This is a permanent position that is located in London, and it does not offer relocation.
