The DAM Team Lead manages the Conde Nast DAM team in London, providing support and development of the AEM DAM solution and related ecosystem including DAM Services to the Conde Nast markets. They are expected to manage the team and the budget and to lead the team’s activity through regular releases of the main AEM product.

PURPOSE/OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION  
 
As the DAM Team Lead, you report to the Head of Business Solutions and are responsible for the successful delivery of CNI Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution developed by our development partners as well as the ecosystem around the platform.

CNI DAM solution is a cloud based Digital Asset Repository built upon the Adobe AEM and provides images services for internal users geographically dispersed in 28 countries.

This is a hands on as well as a management role and you are responsible for leading the team required to run the AEM DAM on all relevant activities. This includes analysing user requirements, creating technical integration designs, ensuring deliveries are on time and maintaining products which CNI Customers, Editorial and Product teams can rely upon.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing CNI employees and external consultants/vendor resources which deliver the DAM
  • Owns and manages the delivery of secure, elegant, robust, performant and cost effective solutions.
  • Communicates the solution design to the system integrators with sufficient detail to allow them to deliver the solution as specified.
  • Works closely with 3rd party vendors and suppliers throughout the delivery process, overseeing development tasks and ensuring solutions meet the required specification and meet the required quality, performance and security standards.
  • Is the technical subject matter expert for solutions in their area and single point of contact for technical and delivery queries by third party delivery partners and internal teams, throughout the delivery process.
  • Proactively communicate relevant delivery risks and suggests mitigation options to project manager and delivery team.
  • Owns and ensures the creation and delivery of all solution documentation, required to release and support the product.
  • Works closely with Support Manager to ensure a smooth transition into production.
  • Own the knowledge transfer between the project team and local support teams.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • DAM solutions, specifically Adobe AEM (CQ5)
  • J2SE, Apache Sling, OSGi services, CRX
  • SOA integration
  • Sign-on solutions
  • Search technologies
  • REST API
  • XSLT
  • Workflow Management System (K4, Censhare)
  • JavaScript and front-end frameworks
  • Good knowledge of publishing software applications (InDesign, Photoshop, DPS)
  • Past technical support experience working in other Digital Asset Management systems is an asset.
  • Experience and ability to conceptually understand the implications and propose architectures for large Web based solutions of different sizes, their implications on the solution concept and development as well as understanding the impact of caching measures.
  • Have experience of integration projects working across many of the following technologies:
  • The successful candidate will have exposure to Adobe CQ5 WCM, DAM and CRX.
