The show started as a gathering of entertainment metadata nerds — Metadata Madness – a half-day celebration of the ways that Hollywood was archiving and tagging its content.
This led to the Smart Content Summit – which advanced industry applications of Big Data, AI, machine learning, automation and blockchain.
Now, we’re proud to announce the Smart Hollywood Summit – the evolution continues.
The new Smart Hollywood Summit, Feb. 27, 2019 at the Skirball Center, is MESA’s newest, full-day program dedicated to the next technology phase of our industry’s products, processes and productions. With new players coming to town, the Summit’s programming mix will address the many ways that Hollywood and Silicon Valley are already working together to transform how content is created, businesses are run, and the consumer is engaged.
The first Smart Hollywood Summit will feature three tracks
Smart Content: From metadata to machine learning, from automation to AI, what’s new and working
Smart Screen: OTT has opened-up new B-to-C data points that will enlighten and inform the entire entertainment supply chain.
Smart Production: New cloud-based platforms and virtualized tools are creating new efficiencies and creative potential for producers and their artists.
