2:30 pm – 4:30 pm Information Economics: Quantifying a Path to IG Program Maturity
(Dylan Williams, Ricoh)
Organizations have been qualifying a need for Information Governance pilot projects, but many still struggle with justifying enterprise support and budgets to take their programs to the next level. In this presentation, we will walk participants through a Total Cost of Ownership approach to Information Economics which has been used as a foundational element within several organizations’ IG programs. This session will involve participation and real-world examples to differentiate and define a program through Volume, Asset Costs, Process Costs, and Risk Costs. We will then share how this approach can be applied to further motivate, increase collaboration with, and create a common language for IG across the enterprise.
