(Digital Cultural Heritage DC Meetup)

April 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

Free

From the event host’s website:

Located on the southeast corner of New Hampshire and Corcoran Street, please buzz front door for entry.

Based on the feedback provided in the survey of DCHDC members and suggestions offered at the most recent meetings, we will be meeting on the third Tuesday of the month, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., rather than on third Thursdays.

Comments on the survey and at meetings indicated that members are interested in an earlier start time, fewer short (“lightning”) talks rather than single presentations, and social/networking time both before and after the talks to accommodate those who need to leave early or can only arrive on the later side.

We anticipate the future schedule looking something like the following:

  • 6:30—Arrivals and socializing, with a break partway through for introductions
  • 7:00—Lightning talks
  • 7:30—Announcements and more socializing
  • 8:00—Formally adjourn the meeting to a local bar/eatery.

In order to have topics for the lightning talks, we would like to invite members to nominate yourselves to give lightning talks at a future meeting using the following Doodle poll link:

http://doodle.com/poll/caenstvyf8muwgiv

This poll is just for people who would like to be speakers at future meetings.

Stay tuned for more details!
